About Us :: Memberships

Morning Star Energy, LLC is proud to team up with selected organizations that promote the development and use of alternate fuels. Many Americans recognize that our high dependence on foreign nations for key energy resources is a potential threat to our national security and economy. Morning Star Energy is very pleased to support groups working to reduce our nation’s dependence on foreign energy sources with economical domestically produced energy sources.

EPIC
In late 2005, Morning Star Energy became the first Indiana ethanol plant or project to join the Ethanol Promotion and Information Council (EPIC). EPIC is an alliance of ethanol producers and industry leaders who have come together to create a consistent, positive message and identity for ethanol. EPIC’s goal is to reach consumers and key influencers across the country and educate them on the performance and environmental benefits of using an ethanol-enriched fuel in automobiles.

NEVC
In early 2006, Morning Star Energy joined the National Ethanol Vehicle Coalition (NEVC). NEVC’s mission is “To promote the use of 85 percent ethanol as a renewable form of alternative transportation fuel while enhancing agricultural profitability, advancing environmental stewardship and promoting national energy independence.”

CICCA
In early 2006, Morning Star Energy joined the Central Indiana Clean Cities Alliance (CICCA). Clean Cities is a U.S. DOE sponsored program promoting alternative fuel vehicles (AFVs) and fuels at the grassroots level to improve our nation's air quality and lessen our dependence on foreign oil.
